Book titles
Thanks for the titles. I have read The Kite Runner and although I enjoyed it very much, I think that it could be a little intense for some of my students. Motherless Brooklyn is not a title I am familiar with, but I will look into it while I'm on summer layoff. What I find especially difficult is finding titles that appeal to both male and female students.

Thanks, Kim! Snow in August sounds great- something I can connect with The Chosen by Chaim Potok. You've given me some wonderful ideas. Also, I agree that we are very lucky to be working with Will- the last few days at the High School's New Face Conference have been enlightening and a little overwhelming at times. He is very patient with us! What we have learned here is very exciting and we cannot wait to take it back to our building in September!
